If you can play tracks with the WaveEditor, then the application can be set as the default player for audio or video files.
If you have Windows 10, go to Settings then type default and select Default App Settings. Select CyberLink WaveEditor for Audio and Video and that's it. The next time you double-click on a video or audio file, CyberLink WaveEditor will start.
I edit MP3 files for use in dance performances, but after making edits, the file truncates after saving the track. Any idea why?

This is a known issue that caused many problems for users working with MP3. I recommend using an alternative, or at least, upgrade the version of CyberLink WaveEditor to the latest version. If after upgrade, you have the same issues, then download an alternative. Audacity might come in need because it's free, I have used it and it works without errors. The latest version should be compatible with all the operating systems. Make sure to download the LAME codec to have support for MP3 files, as well.
